The remit for this order was to write a Cover Letter for a client who I had previously completed a resume for. Having already a good knowledge of the client and his abilities, our consultation focused on the changes he had made since we had last talked.
He had since completed qualifications and undertaken more professional development. Moreover, he had gained expereince teaching in the area of Technologies, which was what this job called for.
Before the consultation, I familiarised myself with the job description, which allowed me to draw out all the information from the client that the school was asking for.
When writing, I read through the school website and strategic plan and addressed the values of the school. I also ensured to include all the client’s experiences and relevant qualifications. The end result is a strong cover letter that I was confident would set him apart from other applicants.
